Welcome to Oak Tree Class
Last half term was a great success, the children have settled in well and are happy and
eager to learn. The children created some wonderful pirate stories and letters
following their treasure hunt in the forest. The children have been very busy learning
what it means to eat healthy and the importance of exercise. The children have had
great fun writing stories using pobble 365, which can be accessed by anyone using the
internet. Pobble is a great tool to help inspire the children’s imagination in their writing.
There is a website called top marks which has a great times table game to help the
children learn their times tables. (Please see links below)They use this in class and really enjoy it. The children have learnt about the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, this created a lot of interest in the‘Bermuda Triangle’.
Many of the children have taken part in sporting activities such as the football competition at North Weald and the Multi skills event at Roding Valley High School which was enjoyed by all. This next half term will be just as busy with lots
of exciting things happening which include, a trip to The Museum of London, the
Christmas Panto and of course the children will be performing their nativity.
